Listen to the editor to introduce the life of the ternary lithium battery?

Ternary lithium battery refers to a lithium secondary battery that uses three transition metal oxides of nickel, cobalt and manganese as the positive electrode material. It fully integrates the good cycle performance of lithium cobaltate, the high specific capacity of lithium nickelate and the high With the characteristics of safety and low cost, the composite lithium intercalation oxides with multi-element synergy such as nickel, cobalt and manganese were synthesized by molecular level mixing, doping, coating and surface modification. The so-called lithium battery life refers to that after the battery has been used for a period of time, the capacity decays to 70% of the nominal capacity (battery capacity at room temperature of 25°C, standard atmospheric pressure, and discharged at 0.2C), which can be considered as the end of life.

What are the characteristics of ternary lithium batteries?

in terms of safety: the safety of iron phosphate batteries is better, but there are problems of self-discharge and low capacity. The advantages of ternary materials lie in their high specific energy and power performance and good safety . Under the same volume, more electric energy can be stored and used for a longer period of time, while the cost is relatively low and the production process is clean and environmentally friendly.
